Projects

RevUp Software - 0-1 Political Campaign Analytics Platform

RevUp Software was launched in 2013 to address a fundamental inefficiency in political fundraising: campaigns were spending excessive time cold-calling constituents with little insight into donation likelihood or party affiliation. The project aimed to leverage advanced analytics on contact information—particularly email data—to predict donation potential, estimate likely contribution size, and infer party alignment, enabling campaigns to target outreach and improve fundraising success rates. As the Head of Product and second co-founder, I was the first hire and led the 0-to-1 product development effort. My responsibilities included designing user interfaces, conducting user and market research, and managing key aspects of the engineering team. I played a central role in identifying and recruiting foundational engineering, design, and sales hires. Collaborating closely with engineering and account management, I defined and delivered core features and enhanced user workflows, including the integration of call tracking and real-time reporting. Key features developed included: - Advanced analytics to score and segment contacts by donation likelihood and party affiliation - Smart segmentation for targeted campaign outreach - Integrated communication tools, such as call and email tracking - Real-time dashboards to monitor fundraising performance - Compliance and data security tailored for political fundraising Through this cross-functional approach, RevUp Software enabled campaigns to focus on high-probability donors, reduce wasted effort, and maximize fundraising outcomes. The project achieved significant traction, growing to over $100,000 in monthly recurring revenue (MRR), and established RevUp as a leading data-driven solution in the political technology space.
