Product Designer // I simplify complexity in software products

I'm a UX designer who enjoys simplifying complex systems & enriching the lives of end users. My approach to design is twofold- designing to create value & designing for usability. I'm excited about fixing broken user flows, poor information architectures, and redesigning experiences for efficiency and user satisfaction. With over 6 years of experience across in-house and consulting environments, I have taken projects from idea to implementation, while collaborating with my partners- sales, product, content, research and engineering. A keen interest in product strategy and user research help me build a strong collaborative relationship with my partners and stakeholders, that in turn feeds into great experience design. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve collaboration, innovate on UX processes and framing UX in the context of business. Experience Overview ------------------- - I've redesigned legacy software aimed at supporting critical business processes for improved usability and user retention - I've designed 0-1 product offerings that helped clients bring new ideas to market and launch pilots, by leveraging UX Research, service design and interaction design. - I've worked in the spaces of B2B SaaS, consumer marketplaces, and internal tools - I've mentored junior designers starting their UX career by reviewing portfolios, providing insights into the market and helping them strategise a job search. What helps me stand out: ------------------ - I have a Masters degree in UX from the University of Washington & the National Institute of Design, both academic institutions at the forefront of UX. - My background in computer engineering enables me to see ideas through execution & helps me have technical discussions with engineering teams and understand complex systems. - I am innately curious about understanding user behaviour and get excited about interacting with users to understand their motivations to use software - I've had the privilege of working in 3 countries, and have collaborated remotely with several others, helping me be an efficient collaborator in a global team.
