Over the course of five art therapy sessions, a group of older adults engaged in a painting-based project designed to foster self-expression, cognitive stimulation, and social connection. The sessions began with simple exercises, allowing participants to explore colors and textures freely, gradually building confidence in their artistic abilities. As the sessions progressed, the group worked on individual and collaborative pieces, incorporating personal memories, emotions, and reflections into their artwork. Discussions about their paintings sparked storytelling, laughter, and deep conversations, strengthening their sense of community and belonging. By the final session, each participant had created a unique piece that reflected their personal journey, culminating in a small exhibition where they proudly shared their work with each other.
