Conducted user research and testing to identify user needs, inform design decisions, and iterate prototype. Oversaw entire design process, managed design handoff to engineers, and presented final product to client.

Lead two design projects with four designers to create food delivery app for local restaurant and Yelp redesign. Organize user research survey, journey mapping, prototyping, and testing to meet project timeline.

SB Creative LabSpearheaded two redesign projects to increase user base and accessibility of website and design resources. Collaborated with designers and engineers to develop two React.js websites that reached 150+ users across 20+ schools. Expanded existing brand guidelines to create design system, visual assets, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.

Promoted new design thinking framework to internal teams to increase efficiency of problem-solving processes. Designed marketing materials, strategy reports (50+ pages), and 70+ slide deliverable to present to stakeholders.

Product ClassroomVirtual design classroom featuring weekly speakers/workshops, small group work, and semester-long solo project. Conducted user research via Google Forms survey. Identified user pain points and used research data to create personas. Brainstormed potential solutions and mapped out user flow. Developed and iterated low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes on Figma.

Senior Layout Editor, Staff Writer

The Bottom Line NewspaperDirect layout team in the production of weekly paper (Adobe InDesign), maintain brand and editorial aesthetic. Brief editorial board on layout team progress. Outline, draft, revise, and publish 7 articles and illustrations; discuss and implement revisions with section editors. Conduct interviews with students, alumni, and local artists.

Lead Research Assistant

UCSB Communication DepartmentFormulated research questions, delegated research articles to the team for literature review, and led biweekly meetings. Highlighted key themes and observations during focus groups. Transcribe and analyze focus group audio using Descript. Conducted collaborative open coding of focus groups using Atlas.ti. Completed weekly tasks in a timely manner and reported progress to Slack channel. Reviewed findings in weekly discussions.
